Oakland Tops IPFW In Summit League Semifinals

SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA (Indiana's Newscenter) - Oakland advanced to the championship game of the Summit League basketball tournament for the fourth time in six years by beating IPFW 71-58 in the semi-finals Monday night in Sioux Falls.

Blake Cushingberry led Oakland with 23 points. while Keith Benson had 17-points and 17-rebounds.

IPFW actually had a 24-23 advantage in field goals, but Oakland was perfect on 19 free throw attempts while IPFW got to the line just once.

Nick Daniels led IPFW with 16 points while Zach Plackemeier and Antwone Snead had 11 each.

IPFW ended its season 16-15
