Sawyer-Davis Named to All-American Team

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Add one more accolade to the list for University of Saint Francis junior DeJovaun Sawyer-Davis.

The versatile forward from Anderson, Ind., has been named to the 2010 NAIA All-America First Team. Sawyer-Davis, the NAIA Division II National Championship All-Tournament MVP, averaged 22.8 points per game in the five tournament games and 8.6 rebounds. He finished the season with a 20.0 scoring average in 37 games finishing the season with 741 points and 15 double doubles. His 43 points against Black Hills State University in the first round of the NAIA National Championship tied for the fourth best single-game scoring effort and fourth best in USF history.

Sawyer-Davis was a second-team NAIA All-America in 2008-09. He is the second player from USF to earn NAIA All-America first team selection joining 1999-00 selection Steve Smith.
