Carthage Downs Volleydons

FORT WAYNE - (Indiana's NewsCenter). - The Carthage Red Men downed the IPFW Volleydons 3-1 Friday night.

The Mastodons fall to 7-5 overall in 2012 with the loss, while Carthage wins its eighth-straight match and improves to 8-1.

Randy Hansen had 17 kills for Carthage.

Ivan Matos led IPFW with 14 kills, while Eddie Rivera and Ramon Burgos each tallied 10.

The Mastodons will return to the court Saturday night at Ball State.
