LOS ANGELES (www.incnow.tv) - Rick Majerus, who counted a short but successfui stay at Ball State in his 25 year college basketball head coaching career, died Saturday of a heart ailment at the age of 64.
Majerus was 517-215 in his stops at Marquette, Ball State, Utah, and most recently St. Louis, who he put in the NCAA tournament last season for the first time in twelve years.
His teams made the big dance twelve times, with the best run being the climb to the 1998 championship game with Utah.
Majerus second and last team at Ball State reached the NCAA Sweet 16 in 1989.
