IPFW Men, Women Drop Decisions At IUPUI

INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Both of IPFW's basketball teams dropped decisions to IUPUI on the road Saturday.

In the men's game, IPFW led by as many as ten in the second half, but could not hold onto the lead, as IUPUI came back and with a three pointer by Stephen Thomas with 24 seconds took a 66-63 win.

Trey McCorkle scored a team-high 14 points, while Frank Gaines and Mario Hines each scored 13, and Joe Edwards scored 11.

IPFW falls to 10-13 on the season, and 4-10 in the Summit League, while IUPUI improves to 10-15, and 4-9 in league play.

IPFW's women fell to IUPUI 76-62 despite 14 points from Stephanie Rosado and twelve from Erin Murphy.

The Lady Dons are now 7-15 and 4-8 in Summit League games.
