IPFW Softballers Cruise In Home Finale

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Courtney Cronin hit a first-inning grand slam, and then closed the door on the game from the pitching circle in the fifth to send the Mastodons to a three-game sweep of the South Dakota Coyotes by a 10-0 score in the Mastodons' 2012 home finale Saturday.

IPFW scored five runs in both the first and second innings, as the 'Dons improved to 42-12 overall, 30-games over .500 on the year, while going to 17-7 in the Summit League. South Dakota closes its season with a 16-39 record, going an even 12-12 in Summit League play.
