UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Indiana Tech will be a part of the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round on Sunday.
Each of the nine locations will feature a five-team double-elimination tournament May 10 – 14.
National Championship Opening Round winners will join host Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) at the 56th annual Avista-NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho, May 25 – June 1.
Indiana Tech baseball team is making its fourth straight appearance in the opening round after receiving one of 16 at-large bids.
The Warriors are in the Kingsport Bracket playing out of Kingsport, Tennessee hosted by Tennessee Wesleyan College as the No. 3 seed. Tennessee Wesleyan is the group’s top seed, Georgetown (Ky.) College is the No. 2, the No. 4 seed is Campbellsville University, and the University of Saint Francis (Ill.) is the No. 5 seed.
The Warriors finished the season ranked 22nd in the final regular season edition of the NAIA Baseball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, posting a 39-20 overall record.
