CHICAGO (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Notre Dame broke open a somewhat close game with a stifling defense and ground control offense to demolish Miami of Florida 41-3 Saturday night.
The Irish got 123 yards rushing from George Atkinson III with a touchdown and 118 yards with two scores from Cierre Wood, rolling up 587 offensive yards, 376 of them on the ground, and building a near 2-1 advantage in possession time.
Notre Dame moves to 5-0, and the ninth ranked Irish are the only FBS team in the country that has yet to trail in a game this season.
