Irish Stage Road Comeback At Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (21 Alive) - Tommy Rees threw for 319 yards and two touchdowns as Notre Dame erased a 17-10 defficit with three fourth quarter touchdowns to down Purdue 31-24 Saturday night.

Rob Henry tossed three touchdown passes for Purdue, but also threw an interception that Notre Dame's Bennett Jackson returned 34 yards for the clinching touchdown early in the fourth quarter, the third of three Notre Dame touchdowns in a span of three and a half minutes.

Purdue had led 17-10 going to the fourth quarter and had not trailed up to that point and into the fourth quarter.
