OMAHA, NEBRASKA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Elijah Johnson scored 18 points, the last two on a go ahead layup following a steal in the final minute, and Midwest Regional second seed Kansas rallied from ten points down in the second to oust Purdue from the NCAA Tournament 63-60.
Purdue led by six at halftime, thanks to the 22 points scored by Robbie Hummel in the first 20 minutes, and led by ten at one point early in the second half.
But Kansas chipped away to take its first lead with 25 seconds left on the Johnson layup.
Hummel closed out his Purdue career with a game high 26 points, but just four of them came in the second half.
