DES MOINES, IOWA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Leo native and Indiana runner Andy Bayer scored the win in the men's 1500 meters Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field cCampionships.
Bayer ran down Miles Batty of Brighma Young in the final yards to win by one thousandth of a second with a time of 3:43.82.
The win will give Bayer a boost in his bid to make the 2012 Summer Olympics.
