MARIETTA, OHIO (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Manchester suffered its first loss of the NCAA Division III Baseball Mideast Regional Saturday, falling to top-seeded Marietta 6-3.
Manchester held a 2-0 lead until Marietta scored two in the third and one in the fourth to go up 3-2, and added a run in the eighth and two in the ninth to pick up the 6-3 win.
Bryce Murphy took the loss for Manchester, going eight innings on the mound, striking out three and giving up six runs on 11 hits.
Trevor Kimm was 2-4 for MC, Robert Heritz went 1-3 with a pair of RBIs, while Murphy and Cody Schell went 1-3.
Seventh seeded Manchester (28-20) will face Marietta (42-7) in the final championship game on Sunday, starting at 1 p.m., with the winner advancing to the NCAA Division III World Series in Appleton, Wisconsin next week.
