South Bend, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees appeared in court Thursday morning, to plead not guilty to four misdemeanor charges related to his arrest earlier in May.
South Bend police say Rees took off when they broke up an off-campus party May 3.Then Rees kicked an officer who tried to arrest him.
The 19-year-old started 12 of 13 games for the Irish last year. He’s charged with battery, two counts of resisting law enforcement and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
Rees is scheduled to be back in court in July.
