NASHVILLE, Tennessee (21 Alive) - Kayla McBride scored 28 points, Jewell Loyd 16, and Notre Dame picked up the slack left by the injury to Natalie Achonwa to blast Maryland 87-61 Sunday night in the NCAA women's basketball national semifinals.

The win puts the second ranked unbeaten Irish up against top ranked unbeaten Connecticut on Tuesday night for the national title.

Notre Dame trailed early, but McBride keyed a big late first half run that had the Irish up 17 at the half, and they pulled away in the second half for the win
