WEST LAFAYETTE (Indiana's NewsCenter) – Purdue reserve quarterback Caleb TerBush has been ruled academically ineligible for the 2010 season. The redshirt sophomore will remain on scholarship and practice with the Boilermakers.
“We are disappointed to learn the news about Caleb, but the football program, his teammates and Boilermaker Nation are going to rally around him and support him,” head coach Danny Hope said. “There are guys that he interacts with on a daily basis who have been where he is and proven there is a way back to earning the privilege to play on Saturdays. Our program remains committed to the success of Caleb and all our football players.”
Redshirt freshman Rob Henry now becomes Purdue's second string quarterback behind starter Robert Marve, and true freshman Sean Robinson is number three.
Hope says former quarterback Justin Siller, now a receiver, will not figure into the quarterback mix
