WEST LAFAYETTE (www.incnow.tv) - Anthony Johnson showed the way with 14 points as Purdue downed Hofstra 83-54 Sunday, evening their record at 1-1 after the Friday opener loss to Bucknell.
Sandi Marcius added 11 points and freshman Ronnie Johnson had nine points, seven assists and six rebounds running the point.
Terone Johnson, who sat out the opener with a bad ankle, came off the bench with six points in 17 minutes.
Former South Side star Rapheal Davis got his first collegiate start for Purdue and contributed eight points.
Jimmy Hall scored 17 points and Moussa Kone added 12 for Hofstra .
Purdue next sees action Thursday against Villanova in New York.
