St. Francis Pulls Out Late Victory Over Malone

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The University of St. Francis staged another fourth quarter comeback at home and went on to beat Malone 23 - 17 Saturday at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium. Even though the Cougars were outrushed by Malone 256 - 38, two fourth quarter touchdowns allowed USF to escape with the victory. Quarterback Shaine Tierney threw two touchdown passes including the game - winner to his roommate, Jared Clodfelter, with less than six minutes to play. The Cougars improved to 4 - 0 for the season while Malone fell to 1 - 3.
