(Fort wayne, Indiana) -- The University of St. Francis won its 12 th consecutive home opening football game Saturday, but it wasn't easy. Trailing 17 - 0 at halftime and 20 - 9 in the fourth quarter, the Cougars staged a furious rally to beat 17 th - ranked St. Ambrose 31 - 20 at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium. Quarterback Shaine Tierney passed for 263 yards and two touchdowns, plus, tailback Bo Frye scored a pair of key touchdowns in the fourth quarter to lead the USF comeback. St. Francis is now 2 - 0 and travels to number 15 Marian next Saturday.
