TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Summit City was well represented at the IHSAA Girls Basketball State Finals on Saturday with three local teams looking for state championships.
In the 1A title game, Canterbury knocked off Northeast DuBois, 64-54. The Lady Cavs clinch their fourth state championship in five years. Darby Maggard led Canterbury with 17 points.
In 3A, Concordia beat Fortville Mt. Vernon, 42-39, to win their third state championship in two years. Lauren Marinko scored 17 points for the Cadets. She also won the 3A Patricia L. Roy Mental Attitude Award.
In the 2A championship, Bishop Luers fell to Evansville Mater Dei, 56-52, in overtime. Miracle Woods was the game's high scorer with 17 points.
