FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - INC's tailgate party can be described as blue, silver...and neon on Friday night.

Week 7's party is at Carroll High School, where the Chargers gear up for Homestead in an Northeast Hoosier Conference showdown.

The Journal Gazette high school sports editor Greg Jones could smell the blue cheeseburgers from across the parking lot, and stopped by to get some food.

We also met Beth Melchi, mother of Carroll fullback/linebacker Matt Melchi. Melchi says this is one of the better Charger teams in a while, and thinks Carroll could pull out a win.

"Our 11 is better than their 11," Melchi says. "I think it's our year."
