(Fort Wayne) - Russ Isaacs, for the last 18 years the highly successful football coach at Snider High School, will become the school's new athletic director pending school board approval.

Isaacs was the survivor of a nine person screening process, and one of his first duties will be to find his replacement as football coach.

Isaacs was 194-32 at Snider, and his winning percentage of .858 is the best all time in Indiana high school football.

He replaces Mike Hawley as athletic director, who retired from the position this past winter.

Isaacs also replaced Hawley as football coach in 1991.
