Six Games Kick Off SAC Basketball Tournament

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Elmhurst, Wayne, and Concordia boys, and the South Side, North Side, and Harding girls were opening day winners Monday at the Summit Athletic Conference basketball tournament at Wayne High School.

In boys play, Antonio Wilson led the way with 14 points as Elmhurst set down Bishop Dwenger 65-62.

Xavielle Brown hit for 25 points in Wayne's 84-72 triumph over North Side.

Marq Rogers' 21 points helped power Concordia to their 72-60 win over
Snider.

In girls action, Brittany Johnson poured in 20 points in South Side's 57-53 win over Snider.

Crystal Weemes' 19 points were a big part of Harding's 56-42 first day win over Bishop Dwenger.

Imani Freeman had 19 points as North Side advanced with a 63-44 win over Wayne.

The tournament continues Tuesday.
