IHSAA Commissioner Blake Ress had nothing but praise for Fort Wayne after this weekend's state finals.

Nearly 13-thousand fans attended the 4 games at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum. While that number is a drop from last year's record attendance in Indianapolis, the IHSAA seemed pleased with the turnout.

Ress had nothing but positive comments about the weekend and the preparation by everyone involved.

Blake Ress/IHSAA Commissioner said, "they did everything that we asked for and could not have been more hospitable. I just feel like they did a wonderful job of handling the event. I think that we could return, I think the location would be available if we want to return next year on the same date"

Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis will host the Big Ten Tournament next year giving Fort Wayne another possible opportunity to host the girl's state finals. Ress told INC's Ryan Elijah that Fort Wayne would have to be considered the favorite if another building conflict forced the IHSAA to again move the event out of Indianapolis.
