UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - Defending 1A boys state soccer champ Canterbury moved with a win of repeating that feat with two semi-state wins on Saturday, while the DeKalb boys and Bishop Luers and Bishop Dwenger girls fell short.
Britt Watts scored twice in the Cavaliers 4-2 semi-final win over Behtnay Chrsitian at Laville, and then added a goal in the 2-0 championship game win over previously unbeaten Guerin Catholic, to move in against 10-12-1 Covanent Christian of Indianapolis for the 1A state title Saturday in Indianapolis at IUPUI at 10:30am
The Bishop Luers girls advanced to the 1A Argos semi-state final with a 2-0 win over Argos, but lost in that final 4-1 to Mishawaka Marian.
In 2A, Bishop Dwenger fell at the South Bend St. Joe semi-state to Crown Point 3-2 in the semifinals, while at the 2A Warsaw boys semi-state, Warsaw ended DeKalb's season 2-1 in the semifinals.
