Carroll Rolls To Baseball Sectional Title: Bellmont, Luers, Blackhawk Also Champs

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Carroll, Bellmont, Luers, and Blackhawk won their way to high school baseball regional play this coming Saturday with sectional title wins on Monday.

Home runs by Carroll's first two batters in the 4A DeKalb final against Columbia City, Ross Koble and Grant Wilson, sent the Chragers on their way to a 13-2 win over Columbia City and on to the regional at Lafayette.

Belmont rallied with three runs in the fifth inning to erase a 2-0 deficit and topped Norwell 4-3 in the 3A Bellmont final, which moves the Braves to regional back at Bellmont on Saturday.

Bishop Luers hung on for a 6-3 win in the 2A Bishop Luers sectional at Indiana Tech over South Adams, which places the Knights in the regional at Whiting on Saturday.

And Blackhawk Christian ran off to a big lead and pounded Elkhart Christian 10-1 to win the 1A Canterbury sectional, and move on to
regional at Caston Saturday.

In other sectional finals Leo stung Garrett in the 3A Garrett final 5-1, Central Noble edged Bremen 3-2 in the 2A Laville final, and Tippecanoe Valley won the 3A Wawasee final over NorthWood 7-2,
