Carroll's Dinan Honor As State HS Football Coach Of The Week

UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - Carroll's Doug Dinan has been named the Colts/NFL Coach of the Week in Indiana.

"Congrats to DOUG DINAN OF CARROLL (FORT WAYNE) HIGH SCHOOL," Colts owner Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) tweeted. "Our Colts/NFL Coach of the Week. Way to go, Coach Doug!!!

Dinan was selected after his Chargers defeated Class 5A No. 7 ranked Penn 14-13 in the sectional semi-finals, Carroll’s first win over the perennial powerhouse, and a win that avenges last year's sectional loss to the Kingsmen.

Dinan is 22-12 in his third season as head coach of the Chargers, and his and Carroll's first Coach of the Week honor.

The Chargers host South Bend Adams Friday for the Sectional 2 championship.

Dinan will be presented with his award Wednesday at Carroll.
