FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - About 90 top area high school golfers took part in Saturday's Fort Wayne Invitational at Fort Wayne Country Club.
Trevor Uhl of Canterbury had the best round of the day in winning the boys' medal honors with a 75.
Quentin Carpenter of Triton and Spencer Shoemaker of DeKalb were next at 76.
The girls winner was Elizabeth Carlson of Fremont with an 82, with Margaret Fritz of DeKalb next at 89 and Jessica Peppler of Snider third at 90.
Fort Wayne Country Club members foot the bill for the event, which is in its seventh year.
