Former Churubusco Quarterback Killed in Head-On Crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- The Allen County Coroner this morning identified 20-year old Cameron R. Amber of Churubusco as the fatality in a horrible head-on accident Thursday evening on U.S. 33 just north of Carroll Road.

A Pontiac SUV was southbound on U.S. 33 and a Ford Aspire was northbound. It's unclear at this time which vehicle crossed the center line.

Amber becomes the 18th fatal traffic accident victim in Allen County in 2010.

Amber was a three-sport athlete at Churubusco High School, where he was the football teams' quarterback. He most recently completed U.S. Air Force basic training in Texas.

No information has yet been released on the condition or name of the other accident casualty.
