Nine Area Wrestlers Clear First Round At State Meet

INDIANAPOLIS (www.incnow.tv) - Nine wrestlers from northeast Indiana won their opening round matches Friday night at the state high school wrestling meet in Indianapolis.

Surviving the first round were Hayden Lee of Garrett and Garrett Pepple of East Noble at 106 pounds, Connor Knapp of East Noble and Sawyer Miller of South Adams at 113 pounds, L.J. Moser of South Adams at 120 pounds, Sebastian Eckert of Huntington North and Connor Brummett of DeKalb at 152 pounds, and Anthony Linnear of North Side and Riley Lefever of Carroll at 170 pounds.

The meet continues to its conclusion on Saturday.
