Norwell State Title Denied By Guerin

INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Norwell's quest for a 3A boys state basketball championship was stopped one game short Saturday night, as Guerin Catholic used a big fourth quarter to top the Knights 62-46.

Guerin outscored Norwell 26-14 in the fourth quarter to break open what had been a close game to that time.

Grant Baker led Norwell with eleven points while Josh VanMeter had nine and Kyle Fillman and Caleb Featherston eight apiece.

Riley Rapp and Aaron Brennan topped Guerin with 14 points each.

Norwell's Garrett Bucher was give the Arthur L Trester Mental Attitude Award.
