FORT WAYNE, Ind. (incnow.tv)- Dave Scudder attended Bishop Dwenger High School as a student, then coached the girls basketball team for 31 seasons before deciding this year to hang it up.

On Thursday, the school honored the longtime coach at the spring assembly for all his years of service.

Former players, assistants, and Scudder's family were there to honor the longtime coach.

Scudder shared fond memories of his time at Bishop Dwenger: from meeting his wife as a student to coaching the team to a 1985 semi-state appearance.

Scudder was presented a commemorative plaque and Dwenger letter jacket at the assembly.
