FORT WAYNE (www.incnow.tv) - Brandon Phelps tossed three touchdown passes, two of them to Addison Dellinger, as Snider reached the 5A state football title game for the first time sinxce 2004 with their 42-39 win over Merrillville Friday night in semi-state action.
Phelps also ran for a score, but the rushing star was Tyrell Swain with 112 yards on the ground and two more touchdowns as Snider built a 16 point lead after three quarters.
The Panthers, who last won a state title in 1992, will face Lawrence Central for the 5A state championship next Saturday at 7:05, with NBC33 set to telecast the game live.
