Homestead Boys, Snider Girls In Semi-State Soccer Finals, Carroll Girls Out

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Homestead's boys and Snider's girls won high school soccer semi-state semifinal games Monday and moved to the finals on Tuesday at Hefner Stadium.

Tom Ault tied the game in the second half and Homestead went on to prevail in penalty kicks for a 2-1 win over Northridge, and will play Warsaw, a 3-1 winner over Muncie Central, in the boys final.

Alyson Armstrong and Elizabeth Carr netted the goals that lifted Snider to their 2-0 win over West Lafayette, and into the girls final against Guerin Catholic of Noblesville, who scored in the first minute and hung on for a 1-0 win over Carroll.
