Homestead Boys, Snider Girls Head To State In Soccer

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Homestead's boys and Snider's girls won their way to the state high school soccer finals Tuesday night with semi-state title wins at Hefner Stadium.

Frenkie Zirille's first half goal provided the only scoring at Homestead blanked Warsaw 1-0, advancing to meet Columbus North Saturday at Indianapolis in the state semifinals.

Courtney Davies, Taylor Stephens, and Liz Carr tallied goals to lead Snider's 3-0 win over Guerin Catholic, winning the Panthers a return trip to state where they were runnerup a year ago.

Snider willmeet Evansville Memorial Saturday at noon in one state semifinal.
