By Tommy Schoegler

NEW YORK (AP) - A record-setting season has earned New England
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady the AP's 2007 NFL Most Valuable
Player Award.
Brady and the Pats established numerous league records while
becoming the first team to finish a regular season 16-and-0. He
tossed 50 touchdown passes to break Peyton Manning's mark of 48.
Brady also led the league with a 117.2 passer rating, a 68.9
completion percentage and 4,806 passing yards. He had 12 games with
at least three touchdown passes, and played just one game in which
he didn't throw for a TD.
The Pats shattered NFL marks by scoring 75 touchdowns and 589
points.
Brady is the first Patriot to be named NFL MVP. He received 49
of 50 votes from a nationwide panel of media members who regularly
cover the NFL. Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre (fahrv)
picked up the other vote.
