Sexson Suspsended Six Games For Role In Brawl

SEATTLE (AP) - Major League Baseball has suspended Seattle's
Richie Sexson for six games and fined him for his role in a
bench-clearing incident Thursday night.
Sexson was cited for violent and aggressive actions after he
charged the mound and threw his helmet at Texas pitcher Kason
Gabbard. Gabbard had thrown an eye-high pitch to Sexson just before
that.
Sexson has asked the players' union to appeal.
Seattle's Felix Hernandez and Texas' Gerald Laird and Sidney
Ponson were also fined.
