LeBron, Kobe Lead U.S. Olympic Basketball Teaam
CHICAGO (AP) - The United States is fielding a team of NBA
All-Stars for the upcoming Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, has been announced. Team USA is led by the NBA's leading scorer, LeBron James, and its Most Valuable Player, Kobe Bryant. James averaged 30 points to win the scoring title and Bryant led the Los Angeles Lakers to the NBA Finals while winning the MVP award. They'll be joined on the team by Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Jason Kidd, Deron Williams, Michael Redd, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Chris Bosh, Carlos Boozer and Tayshaun Prince. The team was chosen without a tryout and will be led by coach Mike Krzyzewski of Duke. The U.S. finished a disappointing third in the Olympics four years ago in Greece |
