(Fort Wayne) - USA Volleyball Olympic gold medalist Lloy Ball returned home from China Tuesday to a rousing welcome at Fort Wayne International Airport from fans, friends, and family.
Ball lauded his home area, saying such a reception was indicative of why he remains a resident even though his volleyball career has taken him around the world,
There will be a rally for Ball on the steps of the City-County Building in downtown Fort Wayne on Thursday at noon.
A parade in his home town of Woodburn is in the works for next week.
Ball returns to Russia to play another volleyball season in three weeks.
