Holyfield, 46, Offered Title Fight
FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Former heavyweight champion Evander
Holyfield has been offered a fight with WBA titleholder Nikolai Valuev in December. Holyfield turns 46 later this month and has not fought since losing a unanimous decision to then-WBO champion Sultan Ibragimov a year ago. The 7-foot, 300-pound Valuev improved to 49-and-1 when he won a unanimous decision over John Ruiz in August to regain the WBA title. Holyfield could become the oldest fighter to win the crown if the fight goes ahead |
