ANDERSON, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - The Indianapolis Colts opened another training camp Sunday hoping to build off an emotional 2012 season.
The Colts finished 11-5 with a wildcard, losing to eventual world champions, the Balitmore Ravens.
Colts head coach Chuck Pagano says the team was shown a fourth quarter clip where the Blue were down one score in the Ravens redzone when ball was turned over.
Pagano says the players realize how special the season was, but also how important to build off last year will become.
"Our first goal is No. 1: win the (AFC) South (Division)," Pagano says. "We got to try and take over the South. Houston's had it the last few years. This team and this franchise has dominated the South for years, and years and years. We got to get it back."
The front office had a busy offseason, signing 11 players to a total of $140 million through free agency.
New players realize coming to Indianapolis means a new opportunity to better themselves while helping out the team.
"Really, it's nothing different for me," Colts safety LaRon Landry, who played previously with the Washington Redskins and New York Jets, says. "Just trying to perfect your craft, and do anything to help the team win. My mentality, my physicality, everything. My emotions are built around that. Just have a winning atmosphere."
Colts training camp runs through Aug. 16, with a preseason game vs. Buffalo on Aug. 11.
