Cubs One Game From Being Swept

CHICAGO (AP) - The National League's top team in the regular
season is on the verge of being swept in the division series. The
Los Angeles Dodgers own a two-games-to-none lead in the series
following a 10-3 rout of the Cubs in Chicago.
The Dodgers scored five times in the second inning following an
error by second baseman Mark DeRosa. Russell Martin capped the
rally with a three-run double off loser Carlos Zambrano, who was
reached for seven runs - three earned - and six hits in six and
a-third.
Manny Ramirez had two RBIs, including a solo blast in the fifth.
It was his 26th career postseason homer, extending his major league
record.
Rafael Furcal added three hits and two RBIs to the rout.
Winning pitcher Chad Billingsley gave up only a run and five
hits in six and two-thirds. Billingsley carried a two-hit shutout
into the seventh before yielding three straight hits with two outs.
The Dodgers can wrap up the series at home Saturday.
