Komets Finish Perfect Pre - Season

(Fort Wayne) -- The defending Turner Cup Champion Fort Wayne Komets wrapped up I.H.L. pre - season play by downing Kalamazoo 3 - 1 Saturday night at Memorial Coliseum. Jay Holladay, Konstantin Shafranov, and Dominic Osman scored the goals for the K's who completed exhibition play at 3 - 0. The Komets open their 57 th season Friday in Port Huron in a rematch between last season's Turner Cup finalists. Their home opener is Saturday, October 18 th against lint.
