Astros Hire Mills As Manager

HOUSTON (AP) - Brad Mills is the new manager of the Houston
Astros after six seasons as the Boston Red Sox's bench coach under
Terry Francona. This is Mills' first job as a big league skipper
after 11 seasons of managing in the minors. The job became
available when the Astros fired Cecil Cooper on Sept. 21.
