INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Colts have placed safety Bob Sanders on injured reserve with the left elbow injury he sustained last Sunday against San Francisco, and they have signed TE-Tom Santi.

Sanders will undergo surgery for a torn biceps and will miss the rest of the season.

Santi appeared in six games with the club last season, and he has spent time this year on the practice squad. He had 10 career receptions for 64 yards and one touchdown.
