Royals' Greinke AL Cy Young Winner

NEW YORK (AP) - Zack Greinke is the winner of the
2009 American League Cy Young Award.
The Kansas City right-hander received 25 first-place votes and
three seconds for 134 points in balloting by the Baseball Writers'
Association of America. Seattle's Felix Hernandez drew two firsts,
23 seconds and one third, and was the runner-up with 80 points.
Detroit's 19-game winner Justin Verlander was third.
The NL winner will be announced Thursday.
