FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The International Hockey League on Tuesday suspended Komets winger Brad MacMillan for one game for hitting Bloomington's Matthew Spiller with his helmet Sunday during a fight.
MacMillan will sit out the Komets' next game Saturday at Muskegon and then rejoin the team Sunday in Flint.
The Komets Tuesday also added winger Mitch Woods, a member of the 2008 Turner Cup Champion Komets.
Woods had 15 goals, 36 points and 297 penalty minutes for the K's that season, but has been out of hockey this season, and will join the team in January after getting in shape.
