COOPERSTOWN, NEW YORK (Indiana's NesCenter) - Andre Dawson, whose 21 year career included eight All Star apperances, a Rookie of the Year award, and a Most Valuable Player award, was the only 2010 inductee voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Wednesday,
Dawson got 15 more votes than the 75 per cent majority needed to gain induction, and made it in his ninth year of eligibility.
Dawson hit 438 home runs with 1,591 RBIs for Montreal, the Chicago Cubs, Boston, and Florida.
Just missing getting the call were pitcher Bert Blyleven by five votes and infielder Roberto Alomar by eight
