FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - With goaltender Tim Haun out of the lineup this week due to injury, the Komets have put Parris Duffus on the roster as an emergency backup goaltender for Thursday’s home game against Dayton and signed goalie Matt Koenig.
Koenig will be placed on the Komets’ roster for games Friday at Flint and Saturday at home against Port Huron.
Koenig, 25, has not seen any pro action this season. He appeared last season (2008-09) with NCAA Div. III Wisconsin-Stout, where he was 21-5-2 with a 2.73 goals-against average and .925 save percentage in 28 games, and helped his team to the Division Three Frozen Four.
Forwards Brad MacMillan and Mitch Woods will also sit out this week's games with injuries.
