FORT WAYNE, Ind (21Alive) -- PRESS RELEASE: Big Brothers Big Sisters will host the 41st Annual Gourmet Dinner on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Grand Wayne Convention Center to benefit the organization’s programs and efforts of creating one-to-one matches for young adolescence in the community.

Since 1974, Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Gourmet Dinner has grown to be one of the area’s premier annual charity events with a guest list of more than 600 of the area’s most notable business and community leaders.

Each year, the Gourmet Dinner offers its guests a reception, followed by a multi-course gourmet meal, keynote speaker and grand prize giveaway. This year’s grand prize giveaway is a 2014 Chevy Cruze LT. Big Brothers Big Sisters is proud to announce that the 2014 keynote speaker is Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano. Individual ticket prices start as low as $150.

In addition to our keynote speaker for the evening, Big Brothers Big Sisters local agency will also announce its annual Don Wolf Award recipient. Established in 1999, the Don Wolf Award is given to an individual(s) in recognition of their commitment and contribution to youth in our community. Don Wolf, founder and long-time CEO of Do it Best Corp., coordinated the launch of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program here in northeast Indiana in 1972. Past recipients of the Don Wolf Award include Senator Dan Coats, Jim Kelley, Dale ‘Mr. Mac’ McMillen, Sr., Louis Delagrange, Rick McCampbell, Richard and Harriet Inskeep, Tyler Lehman and most recently Dr. Mike Mastrangelo.
