INDIANAPOLIS (www.incnow.tv) - The Colts on Friday used the franchise tag on punter Pat McAfee, which gives McAfee a one year deal at just under three million dollars.
McAfee, who averaged a franchise all time best 48.2 yards on his punts in 2012, can still be signed to a long term deal.
Also revealed on Friday in an Indianapolis Star interview was a considered trade of Peyton Manning in 2004.
Club president at the time Bill Polian wanted to deal Manning when contract talks became volatile, a move that was vetoed by owner Jim Irsay.
